Happy Friday!!

I hope everyone is well & looking forward to whatever the weekend has in store! I'm totally confused about which day I'm on, for those of you who follow me on Twitter you'll know I've been away the past couple of days in Manchester seeing the extremely handsome Mr. Michael BublĂ©!  * I instantly turn into the heart eyed emoji* I went with Fraser's family for his Mum & Dads 50th birthday. I keep going to say 'what a brilliant weekend we had!' But it was during the week, hence my confusion. So as much as I didn't have the Friday Feeling, I wasn't about to pass up the free weekend! I'm half expecting to wake up tomorrow thinking it's Tuesday.. aaaanyway, that was just a little insight into my crazy head!

I always find a concert, gig, music event whateveeeer you wanna call it really difficult to dress for. Because it's never just the gig, oh no! There's dinner before & per-drinks, then there is the drinks afterwards & potentially a late night bar or club or both, ahhhhh! It's a tricky one! Because we were away from Glasgow we fancied getting dressed up a little, particularly the fact we were celebrating the rents 50th birthdays!

In a last minute panic the night before the morning we left (and an hour before the shops closed) I decided to have a complete outfit meltdown & head to the shops on a mission to find a complete outfit that was going to fit the majorly specific brief without making my bank card cry at 'payment approved'. Not like me to be soooo late, or last minute or anything to that effect... *ahem*

With wasted time in a few shops & feeling like a quick change artist, I had 20mins left to find something, anything! I went into Topshop & found this gorgeous mint jumpsuit from Wal G.  I find the crepe fabric always looks expensive! Since I'm adoring pastels as you may have gathered from my recent posts this was perfect! Plus I had a good feeling that my big statement from my last outfit post (Here) would be a perfect colour match for this!

Feeling optimistic, I ran to Primark (literally, I ran) because I remembered getting very distracted by the most perfect white Blazer. It reminded me of the collarless one from my White on White post from last month (Here) but better, it's textured on the bodice giving it a more expensive feel. It's a new favourite! I can definitely see me popping it over a little top & jeans for a 'ladies who lunch' kind of affair (our cakes date perhaps my bloggers?)  i also spotted this gorgeous little clutch in Ecru, perfect match for my practical shoe choice of cut out wedges, I actually demonstrated my running skills in these too.. I BLAME THE WINE!

Hello

Today I thought I'd blog my first proper outfit post, which is pretty exciting but also nerve racking since I don't know how my style will be perceived. I hope I don't become victim to a Mean Girls-esque grilling as I've never really claimed to be some sort of trend setting fashionista despite having studied Fashion I'd say more recently I verge on the side of 'normal' when it comes to styling & trends.

As we all know pastels are popping everywhere at the moment which I totally adore & embrace every Spring/Summer. The part I love most about these ice cream colours besides the fact that they look delicious is that they can pretty much be worn all at once, in fact, I'd say they look better altogether!

So last night I was heading out to dinner with my side of the family to a little place in Jordanhill called The Sisters. Every Christmas we do a Secret Santa where we have to buy for a couple, we set a £100 budget & a £40 gift voucher for this restaurant as it's our family favourite. It's lovely because we all get together & have a great night, plus it's always close to my Aunt's birthday so we celebrate too! Any excuse would have done me fine so long as I got the chance to have their legendary Peanut Butter Cheesecake!

Here's a look at what I had. If you're in the Glasgow area I highly recommend!

DELICIOUS!

Anyway, I'll remove the drool & talk about my little outfit choice!
I love going out on a Saturday because it's an excuse to dress up a little no matter where you're going! I chose to dawn my favourite pastel colour pink with nude details & different textures.

This sweet curly fur cardigan caught my interest a week ago when I was shopping around for some work clothes & since it was payday on Friday -hurraaaay! I seen no reason as to why I shouldn't give it a loving home. Desperate to wear it but having a mini debate in my head whether I actually should, I decided that my clumsiness (nothing to do with the wine by the way) would not be an issue & made myself a pinky promise that I would be extra careful, which thankfully I was. Alas, no longer will I hear the jokes of the scoop bib, mini achievement!

I fell in love with these Louboutin inspired nude spike heels from Matalan just before Christmas & when they went on sale for £15 they were a total must! I was seriously impressed with Mata for this tremendous effort, sometimes they really do pleasantly surprise me! Although they're sold out I managed to spot a pair from an eBay store as I've linked, they're UK based too which is a plus! I adore a nude heel especially as they go with everything & as we make this awkward transition between seasons they're perfect for any occasion.

Can we just take a moment to look at how amaaazing this necklace is from Primark? as we all know i'm literally the biggest fan of Primark's jewels, I love how affordable they are & that there's tonnes! I will admit in advance that I do intend on making them my sole excuse as to why i'll be over my baggage allowance at the airport this year. Gorgeous!

I must admit that my Fraser's photography isn't the greatest so keen photographers apply within!
